Dear Guests and Friends,

I am so delighted to see May come this year, after an uncharacteristically cold winter took a toll on our tropical landscaping in January and February.  But March was a different story and I am delighted to report that spring is breaking out all over brilliantly colorful flowers are thriving amid a full tapestry of lush greenery. Like our botanists, all of us here at Moody Gardens are taking a fresh look at presenting an inviting and exciting resort experience in May as we prepare for an exciting summer. We agree with the old verse that says "A man's work is from sun to sun, but a mother's work is never done."  This May we felt it appropriate to do something special for all the moms that encourage their families to spend time with us.  So Dad, here's your opportunity to so something really outstanding for your wife.  Book a room here at the hotel over Mother's Day weekend and we'll pick up Mom's meal at our lavish Mother's Day Buffet. Or, pick any weekend in May, stay two days and we will give you a $50 Moody Gardens gift card to give Mom to use at the Spa or any of the attractions. Memorial Day weekend is the traditional start of summer and we are so excited to announce our first concert of the season featuring the legendary 80's all-girl band, The Bangles on Saturday, May 29 at our amphitheatre.  These rocker moms are still touring and playing their hits including "Manic Monday" and "Walk Like and Egyptian" ( how appropriate with the pyramids in the background). Come see us this summer as we roll out a new Kid’s Crew Program featuring new games and crafts, Movie nights by the pool and Karaoke along with our clowns face painters and S’mores at night. Beginning  Friday June 18 we are excited to announce our “Bands on the Sand” Fireworks concerts at Palm Beach. Running every Friday from June 18 through August 6 we are opening Palm Beach at night for music and fireworks. Tickets for bands on the Sand are $6 after 6pm and are included as part of a Moody Gardens Hotel stay. I look forward to personally saying hello and welcoming you back to Moody Gardens this summer
